Ingredients

  • 15 g plain unflavored gelatin powder
  • 120 ml fresh orange juice
  • 60 ml warm water
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • 1 pinch pink salt (optional)

Equipment

  • small saucepan
  • heatproof mug
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons
  • mixing spoon

Method

  1. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the warm water in a small saucepan or heatproof mug. Let it sit undisturbed for 2 minutes to bloom and absorb the liquid.
  2. Warm the bloomed gelatin gently over low heat, stirring until completely dissolved and clear. Do not allow the mixture to boil.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the orange juice. The vitamin C supports collagen synthesis and is an essential part of the protocol.
  4. If desired, stir in the honey and pink salt until fully incorporated.
  5. Drink immediately while still warm, approximately 45–60 minutes before exercise or physical activity.
  6. The drink should appear clear or lightly golden with a slightly syrupy texture and fresh citrus aroma.

Notes

Consume 45–60 minutes before physical activity for best results. Fresh orange juice is preferred for vitamin C content, but bottled juice works as well. Do not boil the gelatin mixture. The drink is best enjoyed fresh and warm. Store refrigerated for up to 24 hours if needed and gently reheat before serving. Optional honey improves flavor, while pink salt provides trace minerals.
