Horse Gelatin for Men Halal Pomegranate Cups

An easy halal pomegranate gelatin cup made with halal-certified horse gelatin, bright lemon juice, and a light touch of honey. Softly set, refreshing, and served cold.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp halal-certified horse gelatin powder
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 to 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tiny pinch salt, optional

Equipment

  • small saucepan

  • measuring cups and spoons
  • two glass cups

Method
 

  1. Pour cold water into a glass bowl.
  2. Sprinkle horse gelatin powder evenly over the water.
  3. Rest for 5 minutes until wrinkled.
  4. Warm pomegranate juice until steaming.
  5. Remove the juice from heat.
  6. Whisk bloomed gelatin into warm juice until clear.
  7. Stir in lemon juice.
  8. Stir in honey.
  9. Add a tiny pinch of salt if using.
  10. Pour into two glass cups.
  11. Chill for 2 hours until softly set.
  12. Serve cold.

Notes

Lora Chef’s Note: I keep this cup lightly sweet so the fruit flavor stays clean. For a softer set, reduce the gelatin by 1/2 teaspoon next time.
