Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 10–12 slices pepperoni
  • 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
  • optional toppings: mushrooms, bell peppers, olives

Equipment

  • oven-safe bowl or ramekin
  • oven
  • spoon
  • measuring cups

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small oven-safe bowl or ramekin.
  2. Add the cottage cheese to the bowl and spread it evenly to form the base layer.
  3. Spoon the marinara sauce over the cottage cheese and spread gently.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the sauce and add pepperoni slices and optional toppings.
  5. Place the bowl in the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese melts and begins to bubble.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the bowl rest for about 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use thick marinara sauce to prevent excess moisture. Full-fat cottage cheese gives the creamiest texture, while low-fat versions reduce calories. Customize toppings with mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, sausage, or grilled chicken. For a faster version, microwave the bowl for 60–90 seconds instead of baking.
