Ingredients
  

  • 10-12 oz cold water
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/16 tsp baking soda
  • fresh mint (optional)
  • lemon slice (optional)

Method
 

  1. Pour the cold water into a tall glass.
  2. Add the fresh lemon juice and stir.
  3. Sprinkle in the baking soda slowly. The drink will fizz.
  4. Let the bubbles settle for a few seconds.
  5. Stir again, add mint or a lemon slice if desired, and sip slowly.

Notes

Use only a tiny pinch of baking soda. More baking soda does not improve weight-loss results and may add excess sodium. Do not use this drink as a meal replacement, cleanse, or quick weight-loss trick. It may help only when replacing sugary beverages within a balanced lifestyle.
